The side effects

War has many many bad effects besides from people dying. In the book: To Afghanistan and Back, we can see examples of these "side effects" of war. The main one is money, extra charge on almost everything. News reporters and journalists need to take thousands of dollars in cash because the use of credit cards are nearly impossible. There is no money to pay but at the same time the costs increase. The following vignettes support this theory.

We can see how normal life has an extra cost during war. But the painful truth: as luxuries have an extra price, a human life devaluates.

Amazing how charging your phone with 100% battery 3 times has a greater price than getting someone killed.
