The beauty of Innuendo.
Chapters fifteen and sixteen
"Let's say somebody committed an act of terrorism and we took their whole religion and we locked the all in for special slinging out".
That's innuendo, and that's the beauty of it.
You can simply accuse or insult some one with words that "when taken literally, are innocent". Innuendo is often used in politics, an it can become really harsh. As we see above, the quote taken from The O'Reilly Factor. When words are taken literally, they seem innocent and as if they were an example or comparison to the often used stereotype against muslims stating that all are terrorists or members of Al-Qaeda.
Any how, when taken in context, what the man was really doing was making fun of the common view point and of the muslims themselves, by later saying (in a humorous tone) tat he would be traveling to the middle east to do social service and labor. Innuendo can often be used as humor and it can be subtle or really intense (as used by most politicians). Its a practical skill that should be acquired and practice during rhetoric, even if there are no actual "rules" or "fouls" of rhetoric.
