SLEEP IS A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME

Why do all human beings have to sleep?
This article shows us why.

"SLEEP seems like a perfectly fine waste of time" don't you agree? Well I certainly agree with Maria Konnikova. Sleep sure is nourishing while we do it, but lacking sleep can be a torture. Feeling tired will make us act, think and talk in slow motion, it will make us "retarded". So why do we do it? Why do we sleep? Well, according to the article, "sleep is essential for forming and consolidating memories and it plays a central role in the formation of new neuronal connections". As we can see, sleep (even if we hate it) is very important. While we sleep, all the "trash" of the day gets "processed" into "waste". Anyhow, Konnikova ends the statement by stating a fallacy: "If sleep was just to remember what you did yesterday, that wouldn't be important enough". Sleep does much more than make you remember about "yesterday", so this statement is completly falacious which makes the author seem unclear of her point.
