"The (not so) perfect nutrient"
Food is essential for our health and we take for granted having 5 or 6 meals a day that include carbohydrates (complex or simple: which include vegetables and fruits), protein, oils and fatty acids. Anyhow, not all human beings are this lucky: "millions of people around the world suffer from malnutrition, and one of the principal nutritional problems is protein deficiency". Thats right, hunger could be cured by adding protein to your diet, but not all sources of protein are good for your health (according to Dr. Campbell).
When you think of protein, what comes to your mind? -beef, pork or chicken right? Im sure you wouldn't think of vegetables. Vegetables, (believe it or not) are an amazing source of protein that will nourish our bodies: "spinach and kale have about twice as much protein, per calorie, as a lean cut of beef". On the other hand, animal protein is not as healthy as a study shows: "children in the Philippines who ate the most protein were the ones most likely to get liver cancer". The explication to this issue is a substance found protein such as milk called "casein" which often leads to cancer. Cancer can be treated medically, but a study held in Cornell University shows that it can be cured by"changing the amount of protein consumed".
"Food we eat is a much more powerful determinant of cancer than just about any toxin"
