Reverse the harm

                 

The book shows us the problems, but now its time to head in the solution, the solutions. The WFPB diet is more of a life style and according to Dr. Campbell it will change your life. It consist in a whole food plant based "diet" by only eating 5% intake of animal protein.  This lifestyle will reverse as prevent from diseases like diabetes, hypertension and obesity (among others). Campbell sates 4 benefits once this lifestyle is adopted: "Foods you consume heal faster and more profoundly than most expensive prescription drugs", "food choices can prevent cancer, heart disease, diabetes, strokes, macular degeneration, migraines, erectile dysfunction, and arthritis (short list)". Finally "a good diet can reverse many of those conditions [mentioned in quote above]". I don't really think I could follow this diet strictly, because besides only eating 5% of animal protein, no sugars and processed foods are allowed, but I do believe that adapting the WFPB diet to what suits you best (maintaining a healthy lifestyle) can also help you reduce risk of disease.
